Tawnie was brought to us after having fallen off a high bureau at the age of about 4 to 5 weeks.
We had her X-rayed and there was some spinal injury. She was walking, moving well, playing very actively and able to go to the bathroom so we decided to do a wait and see. At least giving her a chance. She is now about 4 years old and she is very alert, curious and has some control of her elimination functions. She generally is able to make the litter box, but sometimes her bowels will just pop out of her back end in a very well formed roll that one can reach down and pick up with a Kleenex. She is happy, sweet, playful and sometimes a mild nuisance to the others cats as she wants to play more and be in charge. She is the youngest cat in that playroom and she tries to set the tone – so we give her a little time out in a large cage.
As she ages, she has quieted down quite a bit. Very good cat and loves children although we would advise no very young children because there will be Arthritis in later years. Tawnie’s adoption would have to be as an inside cat only with a quiet environment. If Tawnie was a human, she would be a TV comic.
