Pets in Need: Adopted 2012
January 2013
Stormy is about 3 1/2 to 4 month old. He came in as a feral kitten and has made some progress in taming down. He is a long-hair gray male. He spits and hisses when you go to pet him up but does not offer to bite or scratch. After few seconds, he starts to enjoy his petting and loving time. When picked up he will have a full panic attack and you need to wear gloves. In time, Stormy may come around to trust people. He would make a very nice rodent hunter in a large home with a mouse problem. It will probably be a few years before he will want to cuddle up with his humans and that would depend on the new owners patience and understanding of Stormy's background - but I could be wrong. No adoption fee, but he will have to be old enough for neutering before we let him go.

Princess is a 9 mos old spayed female Maine Coon mix who just finished nursing 12 kittens. Her own 5 and 7 orphans. She was a wonderful mother. She has all medical completed now and is ready for a really good home. She is clean, healthy, contented and pleasant to all cats, kids and should be fine with dogs.
Taylor is a 6 or 7 month old spayed female. She is very clean, happy and busy. All of her medical will be completed by Dec. 1, and she can be adopted by Dec. 5. She likes other young cats and all people. She has had a pretty bad life up until now so we are hoping someone will look past that shy little face and see all the love she has to give.
Samuel is about a 10 mos old neutered male. He is white with some tiger gray patches. He has all medical completed and is very ready for a home. He is clean, happy, very cuddly, loves people, other cats (although he is a little afraid of any 4 week old kitten). I don't think he would have a problem with dogs. UPDATE: Samuel's owner was found and they were reunited. Samuel's real name is Kitty.

Petunia is a female domestic short hair black and white nursing mother. She came in on Febuary 16, 2012. She is clean, affectionate, and perfect for any family. She will be ready for adoption in a few weeks after being spayed. Adoption fee $40.
Petunia became a barn cat and she seems quite happy about it.
Violet is about 1 year old. She is Leukemia tested, spayed, wormed, Revolution treated and one very great actress. Violet is extremely dear, a priceless performer and never misses a cue to let you know she wants a permanent home. She will be good with all ages and size of family, but not with other pets. She needs to be the only cat in the family. Adoption fee is $40.00
Violet was adopted with her HHPR friend, Willow.
Feral Errol is a 3 1/2 month old male Maine Coon mix who although he came into the shelter as a feral -- he actually is just a little shy. He hasn't had a lot of nice treatment from people during his short life in Caribou, but he is very willing to learn how to trust and love. Our shy little Errol pulls away when you first reach for him, but then cuddles down with a loud purr when he realizes that you had reached out to love him. All Errol needs is a little bit of time, a quiet home with lots of kindness -- he so greatly enjoys kindness. Errol will be adopted with a spay/neuter voucher, worming, Leukemia/AIDS test, capstar and Revolution treatment (a 30-day parasite prevention), and a distemper shot. His adoption fee is $55.00.

Jessica is about 2 years old. She is a spayed female, leukemia/AIDS tested, wormed, distemper and rabies vaccinations, and Revolution treated (a 30-day parasite prevention). Jessica is a real sweetheart. She likes to talk to her people and will cuddle all day and night if possible. She is very clean and appears to get along with other animals and would be great with kids or with an older adult. Her adoption fee is $40.00 but throughout the month of July, her fee will only be $20.00. Jessica is a perfect family member to any size family.
Mindy is a 1 year old spayed female who came in with her brother Mork. She is also Leukemia tested, distemper & rabies shots, wormed and Revolution treated (a 30-day parasite prevention). Abby's kittens (Alice, Audrey, Andy and Alex) spent quality time in foster care while 3 of them were promised permanent homes. We try to wait until 7 weeks before promising adoptions, but these little ones were just too popular. They will remain with HHPR until they are 9 weeks old before they go to their new home. Alex went home with Lucy and Molly.
Bobby is a 6 month old neutered male. He is leukemia/AIDS tested, has shots, wormed and Revolution treatment (30-day parasite prevention). He is happy, curious, playful, loving and clean about his environment. He does well with other cats after an initial hiss and spit. He is not a fighter. He would like to be an inside/outside cat in a quiet neighborhood with little traffic. Otherwise, he is willing to be an inside pet. He would enjoy a window view of the outside though. His adoption fee $40.
Katie, a 10-month old gray/white, short-hair, spayed female cat, is currently being fostered at the Tractor Supply Store in Presque Isle for adoption. She has all of her medical work completed. She is very clean in her environment, happy, playful and good with other cats after her initial Hiss & Spit introduction. Katie would like to be an inside/outside cat if adopted to a family from a quiet street for traffic or in the country. She liked to sleep with her former foster family and is pushed off the bed would jump on the bureau to knock everything off and make her own place. A cutie, a love for any size family. Her adoption fee is $40.00. (Note: Katie and Bonnie Sue were adopted together!)
Bonnie Sue is a female domestic short hair calico cat. Some of kittens were recently adopted, but Billie Jean is still waiting for a home. Bonnie is a very sweet and loving cat. Adoption fee for Bonnie is $40.
At left, Billie Jean and her mom, Bonnie Sue, have just had a discussion of the safety of playing outside in the enclosed play yard when the big guys are already out there. Bonnie is very mellow and watching out for her last baby, but does not interfere if everyone else is being sociable. Of course, Billie Jean sees no problem as all the cats loose in the house are of a gentle disposition. Billie Jean has been adopted.

Tabitha has made a full recovery from injuries suffered in a house fire during which her owner perished. Her original family is not able to adopt her but hopes she will find that special forever home. She has recovered physically, her whiskers are growing back in and her emotional recovery has been going well, too. She's a beautiful, sweet girl who knows who she is.
Reggie is about a 7 month old black male with a white star under his neck, Reggie will be huge when he has reached full growth. He is neutered, Leuk/AIDS tested, current shots, wormed, and Revolution treated. He is clean, happy, healthy and ready to have a new beautiful life with any size family. A really good boy. Adoption $40.00.
Ebony is a 5 year old neutered male, Leukemia/AIDS tested negative, current shots, wormed and Revolution treated (a 30-day parasite prevention). He is very, very loving and gets along well with people. Not sure about dogs. He is fair with other cats - doesn't seem to fight them, but will arrogantly bat them aside and hiss if they get into his space. He is very clean and not a very active cat. He eats like a pig and is always first in line for the dinner rush. His adoption fee is $10.00 because is he 5 years old. He would like to have a quiet family or an elderly person.
Marie is a 3-year-old spayed female with a kind, gentle, loving personality for any size or age of family. All of her medical is complete. She gets along with small or large dogs but she does not get along with other cats. She is very clean and well mannered. Her adoption fee is $40.
Ginger is a 10 month old female, spay, declawed, Leuk/AIDS tested, current shots, wormed and Revolution treated. She is a little shy and will take a little bit of time to learn to trust you - not much, just a little. The minute you pick her up, she is all love, but in the meantime, she hides under her bed. Adoption $40.00
Danny Boy is about 2 or 3 years old neutered male tiger who loves everyone and everything. He has all his medical work done. He cannot be friendly enough. He likes to be around his person. He is clean, happy, so mellow, and healthy. He adores little kittens and babies. He would like to be an inside/outside cat in a neighborhood with light traffic. He will be a great companion for any size or age family. Adoption fee is $40.00

Sophia is a beauty and has the freedom of my home. But she is extremely shy as she too came from a terrible hoarder environment. She will run from the room when you enter it. She will take a long while to socialize and will need lots of loving and soft talk during this time. She is about 1 year old. She is spayed, Leukemia/AIDS tested, wormed, distemper & rabies shots, Revolution treated. She is very clean and you wouldn't even know she was around for the first few weeks, but in time and with patience she will be a wonderful pet. Adoption fee $20.

Roseanne, an approximately 2 year old tiger female, is residing at a Halfway Home Pet Rescue (HHPR) foster home while waiting for her adoption to a permanent loving family environment. Roseanne came in as a stray and has been Leukemia/AIDS tested, spayed, wormed, Revolution treatment, distemper and rabies shot. She is ready to go and would be one very sweet addition to your family. Roseanne is very clean, mellow and loving to other pets as well as to all people. We believe she would be great with kids and dogs. She is one very fine, but lonesome kitty. Her adoption fee is $40.00.
Angelina is a 10 month old sweetheart who has spent 8 months of her life in the pet rescue. She is sweet, clean, healthy and happy. She is very active and curious and needs a family with other pets (she loves other cats). She would be great with older children, but not very young children who grab and pull. She has an active lifestyle and a huge sense of adventure. She would be a great indoor/outdoor cat, but doesn't really need the outdoor to discover FUN!!! She has all necessary medical work done. She is a little shy with people, but loves to stay close by you so you can notice how smart she is. She loves praise. she does not like her photo taken and will always move to hide her face. We wonder if she is in the witness protection program. Her adoption fee is $20.00
Bella came in on 2-22-12. She is a young (about 7 months) long-hair mute torti. She was abandoned in front of the Van Buren police station. She is quite thin so we will wait a few weeks on her spay surgery. She is suffering from frostbite and will lose about 4 inches of her tail. Her feet are still sensitive with frostbite issues. But she has the sweetest disposition you could want in any family. She is Leukemia/AIDS tested negative, She is very sweet and extremely loving. She has some mats so will be groomed well when she is spayed and the frostbite issues are better healed. This cat has suffered and still she purrs and lays limp in your hands for loving. The adoption fee will be $40.00 and she will be available probably about March 15th.
Stephy: Mice run for cover.... Stephy is here and she does not tolerate humans. She will not attack a human unless you try to catch her to pick her up. Otherwise, she just wants to mind her own business and hunt, hunt, hunt - mice, rats, squirrels - even a coyote should beware. This girl is spayed, Leukemia/AIDS tested neg., wormed, distemper, rabies shot, Revolution treated (a 30-day parasite prevention AND Stephy is FREE to a good barn which mean straw/hay, a once a day feed & water, and then just sit back and watch her clean out the mice, rats... Stephy has found her barn.
Blake is about 1 year to 1 1/2 years old. He is of feral personality and needs to have a safe, warm barn to create his own corner. He was abandoned in an apartment and we feel that his former owners teased him without mercy. He does not like people. We have neutered, Leukemia/AIDS tested, distemper/rabies shots, wormed and Revolution treated. He will be a good hunter. There is no adoption fee. Blake has found his barn.
Peaches is one very adorable and loving 8month old spayed female currently residing at a Halfway Home Pet Rescue (HHPR). She is clean about her environment, a very contented pet that would be good for any home environment that wanted a LOT of love. She likes to sleep by your neck or closer if you would let her. Caleb is about a 1 and 1/2 year old male long-hair cat. He has ear tuffs and lots of fluff. He is now neutered, Leukemia/AIDS tested neg, wormed, distemper/rabies shots, and Revolution treated. He will be a loving, clean, happy pet for any size family. He was Charlotte's boy friend and is Christropher's daddy. He was abandoned in the same apartment. He is going to be a wonderful family pet and a great hunter of mice. His adoption fee is $40.00

Henry Twitter is a 12-year-old neutered and declawed male with the sweetest, most mellow personality you can imagine. We have had him Leukemia/AIDS tested, current shots, wormed and Revolution treated. He actually twitts like a bird and loves to twitter with you. A sweetheart of all sweethearts, Henry's owner became homeless and lost everything in her life. Itt was a heartbreaking farewell. Henry would be a great cat for any size family because he is just one "good old boy." He is very clean, extremely loving and wants to have a new life so badly. His adoption fee is $20.00
Macaroni (on the left, cuddling with Toby and Paul) is a young male kitten with lots of spunk. He's special because when he was a tiny little guy, he developed an ulcer on his left eye. Despite our best efforts, the ulcer left him with some vision impairment in that eye...which will never be -- or look -- quite right.
But Mac doesn't know that he's not "perfect"...he just wants to be a kitten, to romp around, to be loved. And so he needs to find someone who can look past this one small imperfection to see the awesome cat that he is. He's definitely a favorite -- of HHPR volunteers and visitors, as well as fellow felines. Everyone wants to cozy up to Mac!
Tucker is less than 2 year old. We have had him neutered, Leukemia/AIDS tested, distemper/rabies shots, wormed and Revolution treated. He came in horribly matted long hair. We had him shaved with the Lion cut. He will require regular combing a few times a week. He is beautiful and will be more beautiful when his hair grows back out. Tucker is a sweetie pie who was dropped on a country road because his owner was too cheap to neuter him. He is clean living, loving and always looks like he wants to understand what you want from him. Adoption fee is $25.00

Taffy is a domestic blk/white long hair, about 2 years old, Leukemia AIDS tested neg. distemper & rabies shots, wormed and Revolutioned (30-day parasite prevention). She is sweet natured, quiet, and mellow. She is very thin and will be beautiful when she gains more weight. Obviously has had a very difficult life and is very grateful to finally be safe. She came in with 2 kittens equally thin because Taffy's milk had dried up. Adoption fee $25.00

Bonnie is about 8 mos, domestic short-hair, spayed black and white female. She is very sweet, loving and very clean. She likes other cats and people of all ages. All her medical is done.
Bubba is one of our very distinguished citizens at Halfway Home Pet Rescue. Poor Bubba has suffered his entire life with no place to call home, no medical care and all this time suffering with a very painful eye condition. Bubba will be fine once his surgery is done on Wed., Nov. 28 to correct his bottom eye lids and then he will be neutered. From top to bottom, Bubba will feel like a new man, ready for a new world without pain or hardships. Bubba is Leukemia/AIDS tested negative, wormed, Revolution treated, distemper and rabies vaccinations, and will be neutered and corrective eye surgery on Nov. 28th. A few hundred bucks of HHPR medical care can make our darling boy adoptable at only $25.00 to the right family. Bubba is extremely clean, gets along with other animals and his favorite hobby is cuddling and rolling for tummy rubs. Believe me, Bubba is one very unique and special cat. FMI call Mary Rowe at 999-1075.
Priscilla is a blk/white with patches of tiger stripes. She is about 1 year old and a real sweetheart. She is spayed, Leukemia tested negative, current shots, wormed and Revolution treated (30-day parasite prevention). She has been a wonderful little momma to 5 kittens. Sir Thomas is a 3 year old neutered male who either became lost or abandoned in the Limestone area. He is a dsh orange and white. A huge fella and full of love to give out to anyone crossing his path. He like to talk to you to make sure you are noticing him and he has all of his medical done.
Sugar is a sweetie, a 10-month old spayed female who came to Halfway Home with her feral family of brothers, Petey, Paul and Bill, at about 4 months of age. Sugar is sweet, Leukemia/AIDS tested negative, spayed, wormed x 3, Revolution treated (30-day parasite prevention), and also current distemper & rabies vaccinations. Bill & Petey were adopted. Sugar & Paul grew apart when Sugar discovered Michael and Paul discovered Cuddles. What can we say - at least we had them all fixed. Sugar would like to be adopted with her soulmate, Michael, who is with her today. Sugar is more street-smart than Michael due to her first 4 months living in a wooded feral colony. But she so loves to be petted and loved. Sugar is very clean, friendly and healthy.

Suzy is not adoptable as she has a 3rd degree heart murmur. She has had all her vet needs met. Even though she is doing fine now and not on any medications, there is expected to be some medical issues down the road. We are looking for a permanent foster home for her with someone in a quiet home environment and lots of love to give to her. HHPR will monitor the medical situation long term. Suzy is allowed the freedom of the rescue and gets along well with other cats. We are looking for someone to give her a loving home for the time that she has left which could be a few years with good care. Suzy is in a loving foster home.
Polly is a 1 year old spayed female, orange and white, with a great happy personality. She is clean and totally loving to her owners and would be good with children. However, she does hate other cats and will go after them to chase them off. All of her medical work is done including Leukemia/AIDS testing, spaying, worming, distemper and rabies vaccinations, and she is Revolution treated. Her adoption price is normally $40.00.
Princess is a 6-year-old spayed Siamese whose owner has died. Princess is very shy at first but very loving once she knows you. She is clean about her environment and a nice gentle sweetheart. Not used to children or other animals. Would be a lovely pet for a quiet household. There is not adoption fee for this darling cat who is still grieving her loss.
Princess was adopted with her friend, Bear, a big boy, all black.

Paul came in as a young adult feral but after a long stay at HHPR, he has become domesticated. He is very nurturing and protective of younger cats and kittens. He's been a good pal to our Toby and has learned how to trust again. He is very clean and dignified. He holds his handsome tail up high and will come to get your affection. Paul would love to have his own forever home with other happy, playful pets. He is ready for adoption. Call 492-1722 to arrange a time to meet Paul.
Timothy is a domestic short hair, orange and white about 2 years old. He's neutered and medically cleared for adoption. Timothy is very smart and active and very eager to find a new family.
Abby is a beautiful one-year old female who will be spayed and vaccinated as soon as she has weaned her 4 four-week old babies. She is leukemia/AIDS tested, wormed and Revolution treated (a 30-day parasite prevention). Abby should be available for adoption by late July.
Tabitha2 is a 9 year old spayed female with a serious dental problem and whose owner died 6 months ago. The next door neighbor took over Tabitha's care until she needed to move in with family members who did not have room for another pet. Tabitha's teeth are broken and severely rotten some of them deep into the root. Our consulting vet estimated cost of Tabitha's dental work at $650.00, but offered to do any and all dental work on this loving, otherwise very healthy 9-year old, for a maximum of $400.00 to give her a chance of having a pain free life for the next 10 or more years Tabitha might have left. We have asked for donations and our supporters quickly responded - Tabitha will get her medical treatment.
Mork is a 1 year old tiger neutered male. He is also leukemia/AIDS tested, wormed and Revolution treated (a 30-day parasite prevention. He is shy at first and will do a little nonsense growling but calms down within a couple of hours once he is sure you do not intend to hurt him. His adoption fee is $25.00. Fee will be reduced if you adopt him and his sister Mindy together.

Little Lucy is 8 weeks old and ready for a new and permanent home. She is wormed x 3, has 2 distemper shots, Revolution treated (a 30-day Revolution treatment). She goes with a spay voucher as well. Her adoption fee is $55.00 unless she is adopted with her sibling, Molly (same items go with Molly), and then we will only charge $75.00 for the two kittens together. She was found near death on the Access Highway. She was only a few days old and apparently had been dropped by her momma when she tried to move the litter to a new location but because a string was caught tied around Lucy's neck, the momma was unable to move her. Linda Fortin saw the feral mother sit several feet away as she watched Linda rescue the kitten and bring it to Halfway Pet Rescue for help.
Miss Molly is 8 weeks old and ready for a new and permanent home. She is wormed x 3, has 2 distemper shots, Revolution treated (a 30-day Revolution treatment). She goes with a spay voucher as well. Her adoption fee is $55.00 unless she is adopted with her sibling, Molly (same items go with Little Lucy), and then we will only charge $75.00 for the two kittens together. Molly was also rescued by Linda Fortin near an abandoned trailer park on the Access Highway. A pit bull was eagerly digging his way under the trailer skirting to eat the 3 week old kitten who had wandered away from her feral mother and could not return because the pit bull had in the meantime been tied outside the trailer. Linda and her niece distracted the dog and rescued Miss Molly. Miss Molly was already taught to hiss and spit at humans, but within 2 bottle feeding, Molly decided that humans were not so bad after all.
Goldie is approximately 7 months old, torti long-hair beauty queen. She has all of her medical work done and is just waiting for love. She is a little shy until she knows you, but she warms up quickly once she has checked out her environment for safety issues. A very nice cat, but probably not for very young kids due to her shyness. She is used to big dogs and small dogs. This lady has been around. Adoption fee is $40.00
Frank is a 2-year-old neutered male with a very clean, loving, happy, curious personality. He would like to be an inside/outside cat if the home is in a low traffic area and he has time to trust his new home environment – otherwise – inside is just fine. He does not like other cats and will stalk them. We think he would learn to like dogs especially big ones. Good news: Frank's original family found us and have taken Frank (Marley) home again.
06/2012
Casey is a beautiful spayed calico about 4 years old. She had already had all her vetting done when 3 two-day little orphans came to the shelter. We were not able to save one of the babies. Casey, who had been rescued after her own litter had disappeared, gladly took on the new babies never mind her stitches and she still had some milk. She is a very caring, supportive and protective momma. She will be available for adoption when she has weaned the newest orphans. Her adoption fee is $40.00
Dustin is a big boy weighing in at about 12 to 14 pounds at only about 1 ½ year old. He is extremely loving and socially fun even with other dominant males after an initial Hiss and Spit contest. He is very clean, loves the outside exercise pen and comes joyfully bouncing when he hears you calling him. He was abandoned at a young age and is street smart and happy. Dustin is very gentle and would be good with children and other pets of any age. All of his medical work is complete. Adoption fee is $40.
Maggie is a 10 month old female cat mostly white with some tiger stripes. She is spayed, declawed, Leuke?AIDS tested, current shots, wormed and Revolution treated. She has a very mellow personality and is ready for any size family. Adoption $40.00
Randy is an older gentleman found abandoned in a Caribou rental. We can only guess his age at 7 or 8 years, but this cat knows he is big and beautiful as well as smart. He is neutered, Leuk/AIDS tested, distemper, rabies shots, wormed, and Revolution treated. Randy is huge and has the head of a bull and the personality of a bunny rabbit. He is very mellow, clean and loving. He will do well in any size family. His adoption fee is on $20.00 because he is over 5 years of age. You can't miss with this "good old boy."
Charlie also came from a hoarder and does not like to be touched although he doesn't bite, just growls. He is very clean about his unit and hides in his bed from everyone. He would like a farm home that would let him socialize at his own speed. No adoption fee. He's neutered and medically cleared as all HHPR cats.
Sunshine is about 2 years old. She is shy, but loving. She will need a quiet environment. Sunshine will be spayed and all shots, etc. before adoption. She is leukemia tested negative. Her adoption fee will be $20.00 She is absolutely beautiful and very dignified.

Tommy is a 2 year gray/white male who has lived with a feral colony but does not appear to be feral. He is shy and reserved, but we think he will bloom in the right family who gives him time to adjust. Not for young children at this time. 3/12/12 Adoption fee is $20.00
Mary is a classic tiger kitty with extra toes & startling green eyes who came from a terrible background (hoarder). She required 6 weeks to feel well & safe. Mary was a young mother with a litter of kittens but no milk to feed them. We syringe fed the litter. Mary loved & cleaned them. But it was too late & we soon lost the babies. Mary grieved. We then gave Mary every orphan kitten to love and clean. She gradually came out of her grief. She is now clean, healthy and happy & is allowed the freedom of the entire house. She takes a while to get used to new people and she probably will not be a lap cat for a while, but she will be a clean, friendly, happy housemate who will allow you to pet her when she on your chair. She is Leukemia/AIDS tested, spayed, all shots, wormed & Revolution treated. Mary is about 1 year old now and has all of her medicals done. She loves other cats and plays hard with them and off by herself. She loves to be petted, not too fond for being held for long. Likes adults more than children. Not for young children. $40.00
Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, 3-month old siblings, came to Halfway Home Pet Rescue this week after being abandoned. They are both lovely pets. Ginger cannot get enough loving and Fred is also very loving but has a little bit of shy time until he gets to know you.
They will have all of the HHPR medical done. We would like to see them go together as Fred is very dependent on Ginger. Their adoption fee is $55.00 for one or $75.00 for the two of them together.
Note:
Ginger and Fred were not adopted together, but they both found perfect homes where they are very loved.
Jill is about 2 yr old bobtail with a sweet personality. She is a light gray with light tiger stripes. She was abandoned at a local pet boarding facility with her son, Jack (above), in November. She is clean, happy, healthy adult cat. She will be available for adoption on about Feb 27 after she has had her vet care completed. Adoption fee is $40.00.
Little Soldier is about 3 years old, now neutered, Leukemia/AIDS neg, distemper & rabies shots, wormed and Revolution treated (a 30-day parasite prevention). He has had a very, very tough life and is a surviver of a couple of winters aching to stay alive. He finally found a home of an HHPR volunteer to started feeding him twice daily but he was too scared to let a human come near and smart enough to figure a way out of the trap once in. After several weeks, we were able to trap him and he is so very, very grateful. He is gentle, loving and happy to be warm. The photo doesn't do him justice as he had just come from the vet for neutering an treatment of his injuries from being hit by a car. He is slowing healing and will be able to go to a home by March 8th. The volunteer who helped him is thinking about adopting him. Keep watching for "the rest of his story."
Mr. Rogers is a huge beauty weighing in about 18 to 20 pounds and so gentle, a wee bit shy. He's a big, sweet guy. Because of the dog sled races in Fort Kent, Bubba will need to wait about 10 days for his vet appointment and fix-me-upper. But he is simply out of this word beautiful to look at. He is clean about his environment & will have everything done before he is adopted. He is 4 or 5 years old. Total love. Adoption fee is $40.00
Jack is a deep gray short hair sweetheart about 1 year old abandoned with his mother at a local pet boarding facility last November. He is scheduled for the vet on Friday, Feb 24 and will be ready for adoption on about Tuesday, Feb. 28. He is sweet, clean, playful and very loving. Being part bobtail, his tail is about 4 to 5 inches long. Very short for a big boy, but long for a bobtail. Adoption fee is $40.00

Denzel is a long-hair 4 month old kitten who came in on a Friday morning, went right to the vet and was adopted by 4 that same afternoon. How we wish all our kitties could be as forunate as Little Denzel.
Princess is a beautiful young momma who came in with her kittens. Sadly, they became very ill and we lost all but 2 of her babies, who have since been adopted. Princess fostered orphans at HHPR and is gaining some weight, getting stronger. She's ready for her new family! She's a beautiful young girl. Adoption $25
Dawn is about 1 year, a muted torti spayed female, Leukemia/AIDS test, shots, wormed & Revolution treated (1 30-parasite prevention). She is very quiet, very clean and loving. She enjoyed being petted and walks away from any catty dispute. Her adoption fee is only $25.00.
Meg is a blk/white spayed female about 1 year. She is a lovely character who is very impressed with her own self-worth. You have to give her some canned food in order to reach in for her litter box or else she will grab hold of your arm and not let you take it. She considers it only fair that if you are going to take something out of her cage, then you first should give her a treat. She never actually uses her claws, but she has has everyone here so spooked that I am the only one to take care of her. I love her spirit. Adoption fee $25.
