Nicky
Mr. Nicky is a very handsome tiger and white male who has been with us for quite awhile. He tolerates people but prefers cats. He and Donnie have become good friends. Nicky would be a good mouser because he enjoys the hunt.
Update: Nicky was transferred to our networking friends at The Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland where he was adopted in 2020.
Henry – May 2013
Henry is a black and white domestic shorthair. He’s about 4 years old. Henry has had a series of ear infections that were left untreated. He had come to us before with the same problem (and more) and was successfully treated and adopted. The adoptive family was not able to provide adequate medical care when Henry’s ear became infected again. He is back with HHPR and has been receiving medical care. Henry’s had a rough time and would be a very nice cat for a family who could tend to his needs.
Henry is currently in foster care due to his special needs.
Update June 2013: Henry was diagnosed with terminal illness and passed away. He is greatly missed by all who knew him.
Darrell – 2013
Darrell is a beautiful 1 year old neutered dsh, yellow and white male who HHPR has had leukemia/AIDS tested, shots, wormed and Revolution treatment (a 30- day parasite prevention). Darrell came in to HHPR as a 4 -month old feral teenager with some big attitude but one look in his eyes told us that he could be tame with lots of loving. He was fostered with a volunteer vet tech and came back to us for adoption as one very loving young adult. His adoption fee is $25.00. He is very sweet and has learned to play. This is one very nice cat.
Update May 2013: Darrell contracted a serious infection and despite repeated hospitalizations, he could not keep up the fight. We lost our dear Darrell and will remember him always.
