  • Senior cats and socially awkward cats: $100

What’s Included?

Every cat adopted from Halfway Home Pet Rescue receives veterinary care before going to their new home. This includes:

  • Spay or neuter surgery
  • Age-appropriate vaccinations
  • Parasite treatment and prevention
  • Deworming
  • Ear cleaning
  • Nail trimming
  • SNAP Combo Test for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and FIV (a $60 test alone)

The value of this medical care is approximately $350 per cat, making your adoption fee a tremendous investment in your new companion’s health and well-being.

Adoption Requirements

All adopters must have an established relationship with a veterinarian. This requirement is non-negotiable and helps ensure that our cats continue to receive proper medical care throughout their lives.

As part of the adoption process, we conduct a veterinary reference check. Please contact your veterinarian before submitting your application to let them know that Halfway Home Pet Rescue may be contacting them and to grant permission for them to speak with us.

Please do not list family members as references.

Our adoption process is designed to ensure the best possible match between cats and their new families. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to helping you find your new best friend!
