Exciting News About Our New Spay/Neuter Assistance Program!

Many of you know that we paused our large spay/neuter clinics this winter and spring so we could find a better way to serve pets and their families.

Since March, we’ve been piloting a new program that transports small groups of cats to veterinary partners using our cargo van. The results have been fantastic. We’ve already helped 40 qualifying families, while providing a higher level of care and reducing stress on both the cats and our volunteers.

By working with smaller groups of cats at a time, we’re able to:

• Provide more personalized care
• Reduce stress on the cats
• Use our resources more efficiently
• Help families who truly need assistance

For qualifying households, Help Fix ME vouchers can be used to cover spay/neuter surgery and vaccinations. For those who do not qualify, we expect to offer spay/neuter service for a $250 donation per cat.

We’re putting the finishing touches on the program and hope to open the program to the public soon.
