HHPR's Feral Cats
Halfway Home Pet Rescue provides a comfortable home (cage free) environment for Elderly, Disabled and Feral Cats. Although the feral cats soon learn to trust HHPR volunteers as their necessary and trusted feeders they do not learn to love them. Many bonding relationships are created between the cats at the pet rescue. Our oldest cat, Bella, at this time is going on 22 years and is very lap friendly and adores human kisses.
Tawni, who had a spinal injury as a 2-month old kitten, is four years old now and is one of the happiest, most active loving cats at the rescue. These often forgotten cats still have a lot of life and love to give but they need special homes. Halfway Home is a Federal 50c3 non-profit, and Maine State Licensed Cat Rescue. We are supported by public donations and operated 6 Free Cat Spay/Neuter Clinics per year for low-income and families in financial need. We are located at 40 Broadway St., in Caribou and the mailing address for donations is PO Box 488, Caribou, Maine 04736
