How to Keep Your Cat of the Kitchen Counters

If you do not want your cat jumping on the kitchen counter or any shelf, then do a few days of using double sided tape on the counter and it will help you solve the problem.  I have one cat that likes to jump on the stove — I used this and it worked really fast.

You can also use a squirt bottle/gun of luke warm water, however, be prepared for your cat to pay you back – like peeing in your favorite shoe.A third way is to roll up a newspaper and when the cat jumps up on the counter, then quickly wack the paper down hard on the kitchen counter.  Cats hate sudden loud noises.  Most cats will keep trying to escape the noise but after two or three times they will generally give up and just go pee in the other shoe.
