Boots

Miss Boots is a young black and white shorthair who came to HHPR September 2014 from an over-populated environment. He was given good care, but there were just too many mouths to feed. Boots was shy in the beginning but he has come a long way while with us. He is good with other cats and will keep her distance if he is not comfortable with someone. Boots needs his private space so that he can learn to trust and be comfortable in a social situation. Once he knows you, he will show you how smart and wonderful he is.

Update January 2015: Boots has become very comfortable with himself and is more likely to greet the volunteers and visitors when they come into the social room. He’ll make a great addition to any home. But Boots kept getting passed over, so we transferred him to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland where we hope he will meet more people and get adopted.
