Sunshine – June 0212
Sunshine is about 2 years old. She is shy, but loving. She will need a quiet environment. Sunshine will be spayed and all shots, etc. before adoption. She is leukemia tested negative. Her adoption fee will be $20.00 She is absolutely beautiful and very dignified.
Sophia – May 2012
Sophia is a beauty and has the freedom of my home. But she is extremely shy as she too came from a terrible hoarder environment. She will run from the room when you enter it. She will take a long while to socialize and will need lots of loving and soft talk during this time. She is about 1 year old. She is spayed, Leukemia/AIDS tested, wormed, distemper & rabies shots, Revolution treated. She is very clean and you wouldn’t even know she was around for the first few weeks, but in time and with patience she will be a wonderful pet.
Tommy – March 2012
Tommy is a 2 year gray/white male who has lived with a feral colony but does not appear to be feral. He is shy and reserved, but we think he will bloom in the right family who gives him time to adjust. Not for young children at this time.
Mary – March 2012
Mary is a classic tiger kitty with extra toes & startling green eyes who came from a terrible background (hoarder). She required 6 weeks to feel well & safe. Mary was a young mother with a litter of kittens but no milk to feed them. We syringe fed the litter. Mary loved & cleaned them. But it was too late & we soon lost the babies. Mary grieved. We then gave Mary every orphan kitten to love and clean. She gradually came out of her grief. She is now clean, healthy and happy & is allowed the freedom of the entire house. She takes a while to get used to new people and she probably will not be a lap cat for a while, but she will be a clean, friendly, happy housemate who will allow you to pet her when she on your chair. She is Leukemia/AIDS tested, spayed, all shots, wormed & Revolution treated. Mary is about 1 year old now and has all of her medicals done. She loves other cats and plays hard with them and off by herself. She loves to be petted, not too fond for being held for long. Likes adults more than children. Not for young children.
Jill – March 2012
Jill is about 2 yr old bobtail with a sweet personality. She is a light gray with light tiger stripes. She was abandoned at a local pet boarding facility with her son, Jack (above), in November. She is clean, happy, healthy adult cat. She will be available for adoption on about Feb 27 after she has had her vet care completed.
Little Soldier – March 2012
Little Soldier is about 3 years old, now neutered, Leukemia/AIDS neg, distemper & rabies shots, wormed and Revolution treated (a 30-day parasite prevention). He has had a very, very tough life and is a surviver of a couple of winters aching to stay alive. He finally found a home of an HHPR volunteer to started feeding him twice daily but he was too scared to let a human come near and smart enough to figure a way out of the trap once in. After several weeks, we were able to trap him and he is so very, very grateful. He is gentle, loving and happy to be warm. The photo doesn’t do him justice as he had just come from the vet for neutering an treatment of his injuries from being hit by a car. He is slowing healing and will be able to go to a home by March 8th. The volunteer who helped him is thinking about adopting him. Keep watching for “the rest of his story.”
Chris – March 2012
Chris is a young (about 6 months) gray/white, long hair male who is scheduled for vet care (neuter, Leukemia/AIDS tests, shots, etc.) on Friday 2-24. He was abandoned in a Fort Fairfield apartment. Charlotte (left) could be his mother. He is a loving, sweet disposition, very clean and craves lots of loving. He is badly matted and will need to be groomed with a Lion cut at the vet on Friday while being neutered. He will be available for adoption about 2-28-12. He has extra toes, big feet and very long hair.
Jack – March 2012
Jack is a deep gray short hair sweetheart about 1 year old abandoned with his mother at a local pet boarding facility last November. He is scheduled for the vet on Friday, Feb 24 and will be ready for adoption on about Tuesday, Feb. 28. He is sweet, clean, playful and very loving. Being part bobtail, his tail is about 4 to 5 inches long. Very short for a big boy, but long for a bobtail.
Mister Rogers – March 2012
Mr. Rogers is a huge beauty weighing in about 18 to 20 pounds and so gentle, a wee bit shy. He’s a big, sweet guy. Because of the dog sled races in Fort Kent, Bubba will need to wait about 10 days for his vet appointment and fix-me-upper. But he is simply out of this word beautiful to look at. He is clean about his environment & will have everything done before he is adopted. He is 4 or 5 years old. Total love.
Caleb – March 2012
Caleb is about a 1 and 1/2 year old male long-hair cat. He has ear tuffs and lots of fluff. He is now neutered, Leukemia/AIDS tested neg, wormed, distemper/rabies shots, and Revolution treated. He will be a loving, clean, happy pet for any size family. He was Charlotte’s boy friend and is Christropher’s daddy. He was abandoned in the same apartment. He is going to be a wonderful family pet and a great hunter of mice. His adoption fee is $40.00
